   Large homes are magnets for "collecting." Downsizing to a smaller home means you will have fewer things to collect and fewer dust bunnies circulating throughout your home.
4. The House Feels Empty
   Large houses are ideal for raising your family. However, as the years pass, people move away and pass away. Moving to a smaller home provides an opportunity to start anew and build new memories in a new home.
5. The Price is Right 
   If you have lived in your home for many years, there is a good chance you have paid off your mortgage and have a sizeable amount of equity. Downsizing into a smaller home allows you to apply that money elsewhere.
